Having the ability to tap a button to toggle things like screen brightness with a single button press is neat, no doubt. Sometimes, though, you still want to hit a function key -- and just do that. On the ENVY line, for example, you hit the "fn" key plus whatever function key you need in order to do that. So hitting "Alt + f4" becomes "Alt + fn + f4." For stubborn, old-school nerds like me, there's a way to revert back to simpler times. You know, when function buttons were just function buttons. In short, I want to get the “fn” out! You love your mom all year long, but on one day in particular you show how her how much. Funny thing is you can do all sorts of stuff to celebrate. Lavish her with sweet gifts, do thoughtful things for her….and maybe even show your….geeky side? I know, it sounds crazy, but there are lots of great ways to create fun things for your mom with what you have sitting right in front of you. I’ve got a couple of suggestions for you right here.

Lately, I’ve been going on about the games that I’ve been using to test our HP PCs. One of those is the racing game DiRT 3. So, with the pending release of its sequel, DiRT Showdown, I was curious: Would the newest, sweetest-looking racing game hold up on an ENVY 17 laptop? Coachella. The very word is so loaded with everything that this three-day music festival embodies: music, heat, desert, celebrities, fashion, and…. technology? By now I am sure many of you read about the Tupac hologram that “performed” Sunday night. Let me tell you, it was a religious experience for someone who has loved Tupac as long as this kid.
