In the words of the Black Eyed Peas, last night was a good, good night.
It kicked off with a little surprise for the 2010 graduating class at Culver City High School. More than three hundred seniors showed for up what they thought was a run-of-the-mill graduation party. Instead they were greeted by rapper-producers Dr. Dre and Timbaland.
The surprise performance was a gift from HP, Interscope Records and Beats by Dr. Dre. HP has been collaborating with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine to produce Beats Audio, a sound system featured on the HP ENVY 15 Beats Special Edition, HP ENVY notebooks and several other premium HP systems.
The Culver City senior class looked like they enjoyed – really enjoyed – rocking out while Dr. Dre and Timbaland performed hits like “The Way I Are,” “Promiscuous Girl,” “Carry Out” and “Say Something.”
From there, it was off to Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Rock the Roof” party at the Andaz West Hollywood hotel (find out how it earned the nickname Riot House). A parade of celebrities and Hollywood-types took time from the party to experience Beats Audio on the Envy and Pavilion dv7 notebooks in the HP and Beats music lounge.
Keep an eye on The Next Bench for more HP-sponsored music events and content this summer. Some incredible artists are joining our quest to change way the people listen to music on PCs. There just might be some nice offers you can cash in on too.
