You love your mom all year long, but on one day in particular you show how her how much. Funny thing is you can do all sorts of stuff to celebrate. Lavish her with sweet gifts, do thoughtful things for her….and maybe even show your….geeky side? I know, it sounds crazy, but there are lots of great ways to create fun things for your mom with what you have sitting right in front of you. I’ve got a couple of suggestions for you right here.
Print Your Own Cards
Let’s say that you have an HP ENVY e-All-in-One Printer – just as a for instance. Have you thought about creating some neat photo projects on your printer? HP actually has a site full of great ideas – and templates. I found this one section in the HP Creative Studio dedicated entirely to Mother’s Day. It’s pretty neat, actually. Customizable Mother’s Day “Coupons” you can make; Color-in cards; Picture cards – just go to the site and see for yourself.
The part that I can really appreciate: You can do all the picture editing and layout in a Web browser and print it up wherever you are – in case you, say, need to print something up at work at the last minute. (Not that I would ever use up the ink and paper at work.)
Print Up Nice Gifts
What if I told you that there was a free software app from HP that you could download right now and could help you put together any number of creative little projects. It’s called, “HP Photo Creations.” With it, you’re able to easily do everything from design premium photo books you can order online to…how does a PhotoCube you can print up at home sound? Here’s how you do it:
Mother’s Little Laptop
OK, maybe your mom is a bit of a fashion maven as well as a moderate techie. Maybe she needs a new PC for when she’s traveling around town. Well, if she’s on the market for a flashy portable there are a couple choices for you. I mean, sure, I could point out that the ENVY 14 Spectre is amazingly eye-catching with its All-Glass case and slim design and long Ultrabook-class battery life. It is without a doubt a premium machine.
Fortunately, there’s a more affordable option if you’re interested in getting mom a fashion-forward portable. The Alexandre Herchovitch HP Pavilion dm1. I know that Sheila Watson unveiled the laptop with bloggers recently in New York City. Here’s what you need to know: For $629.95, you get this gilded laptop with a custom designer case and matching mouse. It’s a pretty little thing, isn’t it? Oh, and if you want to grab this, it’s only available in limited quantity from QVC right here.
A Sleek All-in-One Desktop
If your mom doesn’t need the portability of a laptop but still needs a new PC, I’m partial to this little number – the HP Omni 120. It is nice looking and packs some punch so she can multitask with the best of ‘em.
Well, those are just a couple ideas off the top of my head. How about you? What kind of great gift ideas do you have?
(I know that Darren is planning to get this for his Mom…)
